Friends of North Bay Regional Center gratefully acknowledges a generous gift from Luther Burbank Savings (LBS). A robust banking Institution in Sonoma County since 1983, LBS has been a generous supporter and instrumental donor for agencies who provide services that advance healthy communities. In December, 2014, LBS recognized the important contributions that FRIEND's makes to individuals with developmental disabilities in Sonoma County. Their $1.000.00 gift will allow FRIEND's to continue funding a variety of activities and services not otherwise covered under regional center funding guidelines.
Parents themselves, of an adult with developmental disabilities, Lyn and Harry Isbell are no strangers to the support a family searches for to help their special needs child. With first hand knowledge and experience, the Isbell's understand the importance of the "extra" services regional centers throughout the state are limited to provide. This may be a summer camp, swim lessons, or an augmented communication device.
Through their generous and heartfelt gift of $100,00.00, the Isbell's have given the families of North Bay Regional Center the opportunity to explore these "extra" activities for their children.
On June 4th, Lyn and Harry Isbell were lauded and applauded for creating the foundation which launched Friends.

To enhance his social skills and keep actively engaged this summer, Jeremiah attended the Lattice Summer Camp in Santa Rosa. After his NBRC Service Coordinator, Regina Rivas, determined he was in needs of supports not provided by NBRC, Regina contacted Friends. This was a 2 week camp program that included outings and activities Jeremiah needed to supplement his summer vacation. Friends provided the financial support necessary for Jeremiah to participate in this program.
Once upon an October day, Friends of NBRC's, held their First Annual fundraising event at the home of Suzette Soviero in Dillon Beach, CA. Using a Cinderella theme, "If the Dream Fits," Suzette merged real life pumpkins with Cinderella's pumpkin carriage to create a magical setting. Read More.
