HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM FRIENDS OF NORTH BAY REGIONAL CENTER
With our success in 2016, we wish all of our friends, supporters and donors the promise of a productive and exciting 2017. Our year in review includes:
OUR MISSION
In 2016 FRIENDS disbursed $28,000.00 to 148 clients of North Bay Regional Center, including 13 College To Career (C2C) graduates who each received a $25 gift certificate and 67 clients who receive holiday gifts from the Santa Rosa Elves projects. Requests ranged from rental and clothing assistance to dental care for a canine companion. Electronic devices that increase productivity in the lives of our clients as well as fun requests including camps, music therapy, swim and horseback riding lessons. Uniforms for young athletes participating in a team sport and financial support for young adults attending Junior College. The requests are as individual as the individual making the request.
3RD ANNUAL HALLOWEEN FEAST AND FEST
FRIENDS of North Bay Regional Center hosted their 3rd annual fundraiser in Dillon Beach and the theme, Bring a Mermaid or A Friend, seemed to resonant with the 203 guests who attended. There was music by Under the Radar, a load of pumpkins to carve, the famous carriage ride with Neil Sheppard and his impressive Belgium Draft horses and the Mermaid treasure hunt for the children. And of course, food! Together, this event and the Silent Auction raised $15,412.40. A matching donation of $15,500.00, by a generous supporter gave FRIENDS a total of $30,912.40 and 100% went directly to the Foundation.

Coastal Bliss, an online Interior Design business with an emphasis on beach items for the home, gifted their remaining inventory to FRIENDS in April 2016. The proceeds of the sales totaled $3,227.80. This gift became the impetus and creative idea behind the Mermaid theme for the Halloween Fest.
Other monetary gifts totaled $975.00
BOARD MEMBERS
This year, we added a new board member, Daphne Dunstan of Benicia, to join Matt Bloom, Walt Hampe, Pete Sanchez, Naomi Hupert and Michelle Bachman. We are always looking for qualified board members representing Napa, Sonoma and Solano counties.
